In May 2013, we braved the elements in Miami Beach to shoot a fashion editorial that first appeared in 360 Magazine. Normally, in South Florida, braving the elements means staying out of the sun (or hiding from a quick afternoon shower), but this time we were plagued by 30mph wind gusts and rain all day. The show must go on, so we shot the story anyway. I’ve learned in my years as a fashion photographer that the most important skill you can have is to be a problem solver. We had a problem, the weather, but we brought the team together and solved it.
Thanks to the great team and a great location van to hide in between shots (from MIAMI DAYLIGHT STUDIOS) we made it through and created one of my favorite stories of 2013.
