On Saturday, we had the chance to collaborate with knitwear designer Paula Cheng. Paula is one of ten finalists worldwide selected for the International Talent Support Fashion Competition to be held next month in Trieste, Italy and sponsored by Diesel.
Ms. Cheng is no stranger to publicity, this graduate of the Master of Fine Arts program at Parsons School of Design, has been featured in WWD, The New York Times, Vogue Italia, Wallpaper Magazine, Bullett Magazine, Huffington Post, and other industry publications. She won the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty competition in May 2011, was a finalist at the Feel the Yarn Competition and showcased during the Pitti Filati trade show in Florence in July 2011.
We shot several of her garments from the collection that will walk the runway in Italy next month, as well as many of the garments she designed for her MFA collection.
We’ll give you a heads up when the editorial is published. As those of us who have been on the stage say “Break A Leg in Italy, Paula!“
